
Gary is a practicing attorney specializing in bankruptcy law. He also has experience in family law, appeals, settlement negotiation, mediation, legal research, pleadings and motions, and discovery. Gary helps attorney candidates prepare for the bar exam. Gary was a very successful financial advisor and a math teacher (middle school through university level). Gary proudly served 20 years in the Army as a helicopter test pilot with two combat tours.
Military experience
Gary was a Chinook helicopter maintenance test pilot from 1995 to 2009, retired in early 2009. Before that he was an Air Traffic Control specialist 1989 to 1995. He was stationed all over the world: New Jersey (Basic), Colorado (4th ID), Alabama (Aviation), Korea (Blackcats), Tennessee/Kentucky (101st), Alaska (Wainwright), North Carolina (82nd), and Germany (Mainz/Wiesbaden). Gary trained in Thailand (Cobra Gold, 2001) and had two combat tours: Iraq in 2005 and Afghanistan in 2007. He earned: Meritorious Service Medal x2, Air Medal x2, Army Commendation Medal x4, Army Achievement Medal x3, Good Conduct Medal x2; Sergeant Morales Club inductee 1993.
Interests
He loves spending time with his large family, traveling all over the world, watching movies, reading crime novels, and attending live music concerts. Gary was a drummer/percussionist in high school and college and sometimes still plays. He is trying to learn to play Bass. Gary is a huge Rockies and Broncos fan and goes to as many games as possible each year.
